The TRUE History of Greenbrier Bar-B-Que

In 1954 Margaret Berzett managed Webb's Bar B Que.  As pioneer women in business, Ms. Berzett seized an opportunity to start her own restaurant in Webb's building.  After great deliberation she named her restaurant Greenbrier Bar B Que honoring the community of Greenbrier.

In 1987 Ms. Berzett and her son, Johnny, built a new building off interstate 565 on the Greenbrier exit.  Greenbrier Bar B Que closed its old location and moved to its present location off the interstate.

Ms. Berzett has passed, and her son, Johnny, carries on the same family tradition.  The old building by the gin is NOT Greenbrier Bar B Que.  It is Greenbrier Restaurant and is owned by the Evans Family.
